2012 | Beauty Favourites.

Here are my favourite products of 2012. I've been getting into make up and beauty a lot more this year, eventually! I've never really been one of those girls that takes ages to get ready, or to spend money on beauty products, but I'd really like to take more pride in my appearance for many reasons. Mainly because it makes me feel more confident and lifts my mood!

I've split everything into categories, each category has winner (or two, I'm so fickle!)

Foundation.
Rimmel Match Perfection - Shade 010.

I just love this foundation, it's everything I've been looking for; a decent price, nice packaging, medium coverage, a shade that actually matches my skin, a nice smell, and is readily available!

Lipstick.
Kate Moss for Rimmel Matte Collection - Shade 111.

I'm in love with matte lipstick, especially red matte lipstick and this one is gorgeous! I think this whole collection is perfection and I hope that they bring out more colours this year!

Revlon Matte Lipstick - Shade 006 Really Red.



This is maybe my favourite, it really is hard to choose. This lipstick is my first properly matte lipstick and it's so opaque and long lasting. Revlon as a brand is fantastic and I'm falling more and more in love with them!

Concealer/highlighter.
YSL Touche Eclait.

This product was a Christmas present from my lovely boyfriend. He did so well with my Christmas presents. I absolutely love this product, it's so perfect and it matches my skin. The packaging is so sleek and luxurious you really get what you (or your boyfriend) pays for with this concealer/highlighter.

Collection.
Lasting Perfection Concealer.

I've been using this concealer for the past two years after I decided that the Soap & Glory one wasn't for me (too dark and shimmery). It's got a great price point, brilliant coverage and is also readily available in Boots and Superdrug. I'll continue to use this even though I have the YSL one because I want to savour the other one and keep it for special occasions!

Blusher.
Revlon Photoready Cream Blush - Flushed.

This is my first foray into cream blushers, I'm so glad I did. It isn't as bright and pigmented as it looks in the pan, but it is such a gorgeous baby pink colour that is easily buildable. Full review here.


Eyeshadow.
Naked Palette.

So I suppose choosing a palette is cheating a little but I'm a little obsessed with it. It's so hyped for a reason, I can't really fault it.

Mascara.
Benefit They're Real.

Such a great mascara, I think it's actually the best selling mascara in the world. For good reason too, it's great. I can't really say much more than that, I only have the sample size but as soon as I run out I'll be buying the full sized one. Love it!
