This is going to be a super quick review of a foundation I've had for a while. You know when you get a product, try it out, are disappointed so you leave it in the back of a drawer in the hope that one day it will magically work for you? Well this is one of those products.
I picked this up from ebay for around £5, I think it retails on the Smashbox website for £26.
Fair F0 is the lightest shade you can get for pale, neutral skin tones. There is also Fair F1 for people with pink undertones. I was hopeful as online it looked pale enough but once I tried it I realised how wrong I was. It's far too orange for me, continue reading for more pros and cons!
Applied to half of my face, notice the difference on my forehead! |
The Good.
Got it for a good price on ebay.
Nice packaging.
Has pump.
SPF 15.
The Bad.
Too orange.
Feels cakey.
Made my skin itch.
Even though the good outweighs the bad here I still can't wear it as it doesn't match my skin and I had a reaction to it. Perhaps not the best foundation for people with pale and/or sensitive skin! I'd say the coverage is medium/high, I didn't know which category to put that under as everyone has a different preference.
Have you tried any Smashbox products? I'd love to try their lipsticks!
Thanks for reading!
Such a shame this wasn't the right shade for you, at least it was an absolute bargain at £5! xo
ReplyDeleteI know, and I've found a couple of foundations that do match and that I love since I bought this, so I'm glad about that. It's gone on to a new home now, I gave it to one of my friends.
