Wednesday Waffle Week 11 + 12 | Movies, Candy Crush + Birthdays.

Where has the time gone!? I know I'm forever complaining about time going too quickly, but it really is going by so fast.

Over the past couple of weeks I've been doing a lot of relaxing as well as catching up with old friends. There were two birthday parties at the weekend, as well as a birthday night out during the week. All of which were great fun, it was wonderful catching up with everyone. I also had a job interview last week, although I decided not to take the job as it was too far away and the public transport there was rubbish! Totally not worth it, I'll find something suitable soon I hope.

I'm slightly ashamed to admit it but I've been a bit obsessed with Candy Crush Saga on Facebook. I can't stop playing it. Even more annoyingly, I'm stuck on a level and I just can't get past it! Does anyone else get sucked into these games or apps?

Music-wise I'm still loving Lana Del Rey. I've not had very much time to sit and listen to music, but I did listen to a bit of Biffy Clyro and Kings of Leon while I was cleaning last week.
You can see just how much Lana I've been listening to here.

Karen and I went to the cinema on Sunday, we saw the new Die Hard film - A Good Day to Die Hard. It was so-so, nowhere near as good as any of the previous instalments, but I was expecting that from all the reviews I'd seen and heard from people. I'm pretty easily pleased when it comes to films so I didn't hate it, was just a little let down by the storyline and dialogue I think.
Kyle and I watched a few films, Mama, Life of Pi, The Impossible and The Long Kiss Goodnight.
Mama was very scary to begin with, but just turned into a sad story by the end. I was expecting it to be much scarier, don't get me wrong I did get a bit jumpy at bits, it just wasn't as scary as the film short it was based on!
Life of Pi was amazing, I don't need to talk about it much as I'm sure you've all heard the reviews and seen how many awards it has won. So visually stunning and well made, it's a must see.

The Impossible was as moving and emotionally traumatising as I had heard. Another film that was very well filmed and some moments were really terrifying and you felt so much empathy for the family and others in the film. I loved it and would highly recommend watching it, just make sure you're not too vulnerable at the time and have tissues to hand!
Last but not least (ok, maybe least) we watched The Long Kiss Goodnight. Well, this was one I watched when I was younger and I remember really liking it. Oh how wrong I was, I just kept falling asleep. There are some very strange dream/flashback moments in the film that are really cringe worthy and so 90s. Samuel L. Jackson is the only good thing about the film, well him and Geena Davis' make over scene haha.
Have you seen any good films recently?

On a more exciting note (perhaps) we won the pub quiz this week, no wooden spoon for us! We did have the addition of my parents to the team, which was great, they were a big help and it was lovely to spend time with them. We won best team name and my dad won the half-time round too, it was great!
Here's a wee photo of out team for you.

I think that's about it really. Oh, we went to the bingo, didn't win anything but it was fun.
At the moment my back is absolutely killing me from work so I'm getting a massage from my personal masseuse (Kyle, haha), I can't wait!
I hope you've been having a good week, I'm looking forward to getting paid on Friday. Woo! I've got some more reviews in the pipeline so keep an eye out for those over the next week or so.

Take care everyone, and thanks for reading!

I don't think we have that colour in the UK, which is a shame as it looks lovely.
