February Favourites | 2013.

Better late than never! Although I have seen quite a few of these posts popping up today which makes me feel better about the slight lateness.
Having an enjoyable weekend? I had work yesterday which was alright, a little busy as can be expected for the first Saturday after payday! Today was spent mostly in my bed. I didn't set an alarm and ended up waking at 2.55pm. Oops, must have needed it though.

Anyway, on to my favourites. This is my first monthly favourites post ever, exciting stuff right?!

Face.

Monu Revitalising Moisturiser.
This has been my go-to moisturiser all month, I love it! It smells like Turkish Delight and works very well on my dry spots.

Rimmel Match Perfection foundation.
Review here.
I'm in love with this foundation, it's honestly the best colour match I've ever found, the consistency and coverage is just what I want from a foundation.

Collection (2000) Lasting Perfection Concealer.
Do I need to explain why this is a favourite (and probably always will be)? It's a brilliant concealer, and if you've not tried it yet you need to, now!

Lancome Bi-Facil make-up remover.
I use this along with my make-up wipes (cheapy Primark ones), it really helps to remove mascara, even waterproof, and lip stains. It's non-oily and works like a dream.

Sleek Face Form palette.
Review here.
From this palette I've been using the contour powder the most, as well as the blush occasionally. I'm not a huge fan of the highlighter, it's ok, but nothing special.

Eyes.

B. Stunning Vibrant Eye Shimmer in Moonstruck.
Review here.
This cream eyeshadow is so easy to use and it adds a hint of sparkle to your eyes. I use this with shadows from my FamousX Leopard palette (another favourite, but I forgot to include it - review here) or on it's own depending on the look I'm going for.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl eyeliner in Nude.
Such a fantastic eyeliner, it opens up your eyes when worn on the waterline. It works perfectly for brightening. I'm yet to review it so keep an eye out for that!

Maybellines Volum' Express The Rocket mascara.
Review here.
Possibly my favourite mascara ever! I've not tried more than about 8 in total, but I'm happy I tried this one as it works so well, it's exactly what I was looking for. I've noticed a big difference in my eyelashes since I started wearing this. Now when I'm not even wearing mascara my eyelashes look longer and as if they've been curled, seriously!

MUA Pro Brow Kit.
Review here.
I've been using this little kit in place of my MUA eyebrow pencil and clear mascara. I'm not sure if I prefer it, but it does do the job. I really like the way it makes my eyebrows look, I'd say it's a more natural finish using the powder and wax. This set is great value for money at £3.50, such a bargain!

Lips.

Revlon Mauve It Over matte lipstick.
This is quite a recent purchase, sometime in January I think. I wore this to a couple of job interviews, it's the perfect subtle colour for things like that. I think it would be suitable for wearing at school, if you're looking for something that's very wearable and subtle. You can't go wrong with Revlon lipsticks. Review coming soon.

Vaseline Aloe Vera and Rosy Lips.
I'm sure you've heard of if not tried Vaseline before. I also have the original kind but that lives in my bathroom. These two little tins have been in my bag for the past month or two. My lips are so dry at this time of year so I need to have these lovely little lip saviours to hand!

Fragrance.

White Musk Eau de Toilette from The Body Shop.
This is one of my favourite smells ever! My mum had it when I was younger and it always reminds me of her, even though she doesn't wear it much any more. I'm rubbish at describing smells, on the website it says it has mixed notes of musk, lily, iris, rose and vanilla. I don't normally like vanilla, but it's very subtle - I didn't even know it had vanilla in it until now! As you can see it's very floral, but it's not overpoweringly so.

Revlon Charlie body spray in Enchant.
This came with a set of 4 I got for Christmas, it's the only one I've almost used up. It's only a little can, but it's so handy to carry in my bag. On the back of the can it says the scent is made up of honeysuckle, coconut and wild apple. The smell doesn't stay around for very long, maybe an hour or two, but it is lovely so it makes up for it.

What have been your favourite products of February, do you use any of these? If you have done one of these posts please leave a link below as I'd love to read it (if I haven't already)!

  1. I love Mauve it Over! The Collection concealer is great too, I only just recently tried it out and wondered why it took me so long. I really want that Sleek palette too :)
