This purchase was a spur of the moment kind of buy. I was reading one of Tattooed Tealady's Beauty on a Budget posts - here. One of the palettes stood out to me the most, the Leopard eyeshadow palette by FamousX. I decided I had to have it! At that point in time I was having a slight eyeshadow obsession phase. I saw that it was half price on their website, down from £8.99 to £4.49. I couldn't believe it, such amazing value! It was great value to begin with, but 16 shadows for £4.49, who could resist?! It's back up to full price now, but I assure you, it's worth it.
Surprisingly (for the price), the pigmentation and colour range it outstanding. It truly is, you'll see what I mean from the photos. There is a wide range of shades including burgundy, deep blue, green and a good variance of browns. It was the more unusual shades that got my attention, they are great for creating smokey eye looks that are something a bit different. I tend to go for very neutral colours like browns and greys, but this palette makes me want to try others! There are shimmery shadows as well as a few matte. You really have everything you need from dark crease shades to beautiful highlighting ones.
Be prepared for a lot of photos!
Look at those beautiful colours! |
This is the little card that is attached, it gives you all the names of the shadows on one side and a weird, and slightly cheesy intro on the other. |
These are the swatches, just one swipe so you can see how pigmented they are! I'll name them all in the captions and I'll bold my favourites.
L-R - Lavish, Flash, Role Model, Bare, Guilty, Pretty Green Eyes. |
L-R - Amber, Wealthy, Topaz, Tango, Inspiration, Icon. |
L- R - Show Off, Gleam, Popular, Dream. |
One more for good measure! |
The Good.
Excellent pigmentation.
Great colour range.
Very affordable.
Handy packaging, great for travelling.
Super lasting power.
Very blendable and buildable.
Built in mirror + comes with brushes (even if they are rubbish!).
The Bad.
Not a fan of leopard print.
Not liking leopard print is a personal thing though, I find it to be tacky most of the time. Although there are rare occasions where I like it. As you can see I once again really struggled to find something I didn't like about this item.
Have you seen this palette before, would you buy it? I'm always curious to know what you all think, so please feel free to comment below, I always reply! :)
I hope you all have a fantastic week.
I like shimmery shadows, they work for me.

DeleteYup, that sounds about right, it's the one thing that I dislike about this palette.
