Well...

Here I am again, starting yet another post with an apology about the lack of posts. This time it has been a year. Almost exactly. The truth is, I'm not that sorry at all. It has been a pretty hectic year by my standards anyway and my focus was not on writing. It would have make no sense to force myself to write just for the sake of it. I'm not going to make any promises or put pressure on myself to post here because that doesn't work for me. We shall just wait and see what happens in the future.

Until I feel inspired to write something more interesting, here's some more about me.

1.Do you have a middle name? Elizabeth (My initials are JEN)

2. What was your favourite subject in school? Art, also Craft and Design. They were the things I was best at.

3. What’s your favourite drink? Non-alcoholic - Dr. Pepper and Mango juice (not together). Alcoholic - Southern Comfort and Lemonade.

4. Favourite song at the moment? Slight Return - The Bluetones. Getting back into Britpop as I've been watching My Mad Fat Diary again.

5. What would you name your children? If I were to have children I would probably take forever to name them as I'm very indecisive. I have always liked the names Skye and Isla for a girl, quite like Alex and Rory for a girl too. Not sure on boys names anymore, change my mind all the time.

6. Do you participate in any sports? I pretty much hate exercise. Last week I went to a pole dancing class and I did like it. Although my arms have been in agony for about 4 days.

7. Favourite Book? Friends Like These - Danny Wallace.

8. Favourite Colour? Teal, Purple, then Black. Though I wear black more than anything.

9. Favourite Animal? Cats and Sloths.

10. Favourite perfume? Don't really wear perfume often, but Beyonce Heat is quite nice. I prefer musky scents. White Musk from The Body Shop is amazing too.

11. Favourite holiday? I couldn't pick just one, I've been lucky enough to go on several brilliant holidays over the years. Highlights would be Hong Kong, Toronto, Prague, New York, Salem, LA and Las Vegas. Florida is always so much fun as well.

Wednesday Waffle Week 6, 7 + 8 | Forgotten photographs, Stuart MacBride + Films.

It's been far too long since I've done one of these posts. As you can see from the title I've had to condense 3 weeks into one in order to catch up! Shocking Jenny, absolutely shocking. So, what have I been up to? Hmm, not a lot I must say. This week has been busier than the two previous.

I'm going to do a quick run down of my favourite moments from the last 3 weeks.

Kyle and I had out 3 year anniversary, we celebrated by going out for a meal in Bellini's then to Tickety Boo's for a couple of drinks. I must say that the meal was rather disappointing, the pizza I had was decent but Kyle did not enjoy his chicken dish. I had a French martini that was very tasty though, which almost made up for it!

We also went to see Stuart MacBride do a talk at Waterstones - we were lucky enough to meet him afterwards and I got one of my books signed. Super exciting! I was my usual awkward self, I had no idea what to say to him so he probably thought I was mental.
Afterwards I went out dancing with my lovely friend Jess, we had a great night! Once the club closed we went to the casino for food, they do the best cheese and ham toasties EVER.

My mum wanted to go see The Hobbit so I went with her, this was the 3rd time I'd seen it. I absolutely love it, it's so brilliant. I'm currently re-reading the book too.

It was my aunties 40th birthday a couple of Saturdays ago so my mum and I went to her house - she was having a sleepover with all of her friends. It was a lot of fun, we had curries, drank champagne, played Just Dance on the Wii and played a game where we had to guess which embarrassing stories belonged to who (we'd all written ours anonymously beforehand). It was a lot of fun, I just wish I hadn't been working all day otherwise I would have been more up for it.

I also went to the cinema with Kyle to see Movie 43, it was fun, silly and shockingly hilarious. It had it's ups and downs, but it's one of those films that you really shouldn't take seriously as it's not intended to be taken that way. I liked that there are a lot of pretty big actors and actresses in it and they were willing to do something that takes the piss a bit.

As usual here's my links if you want to see what I've been watching and listening to - IMDb + Last.fm

This wasn't going to be a long post, but it's turning out that way! I have trouble being succinct.

I didn't take too many photos this week. I have been organising my photos on my laptop so I've found a lot of random photos and nothing to do with them, so I thought I'd post them here :)

2012 | A Round Up.

2012 has been a strange year for me. There have been lots of ups and downs, more downs than usual for me. I do have a lot of major highlights of this year which makes up for the lows, here are a few...

Moving in with my boyfriend.
Seeing the Chili Peppers live again and spending a weekend in Newcastle with Kirsty
Going to see Ed Sheeran and The Vaccines with my mum.
My birthday weekend and Maximo Park in Glasgow with Kyle.
Getting two lovely little kittens for my birthday.
Keeping up with my blog and finding something I'm passionate about again.
Seeing a ton of amazing films including Dark Knight Rises in IMAX. See the list HERE.

I have a few resolutions, they mainly revolve around being healthier and eating properly. I'm a sucker for crisps, chocolate and cheese (not all at once, I promise!). The deadly C's haha. I'd also love to be able to keep up with this blog and organise my time better, I can be very lazy and last minute with things. Keeping a positive attitude will really help too.
It's been really inspirational to read everyone else's new years posts about resolutions, still reading through them at the moment. I'll be doing a post about my favourite beauty products from the year.

Thanks to my followers who take the time to read my blog and to those who comment, it really makes my day! Have a great year everyone. :)

Keeping up.

I really need to keep up with this blog! I actually thought I was doing alright with it this year, then I noticed I've only posted twice last month and the same for this month, shocking!

This post is just a little catch up, what I've been up to etc.
Here goes!

I normally go to the cinema a lot as I have an Unlimited card for Cineworld. For £14.99 per month, you can watch as many films as you like, such a bargain as it's at least 6-7quid for one film! I've been going less recently because of work etc. Three films I have been to see are Taken 2, Looper and Paranormal Activity 4.
First off Taken 2 is along the same lines as the first one, but without quite as much impact. You kind of know what to expect, still a great watch though if you're into fast paced action. Liam Neeson is still as bad-ass.
Looper is really original and interesting. You get into the story right away, but without feeling like you're being overloaded with information. One thing that takes some getting used to is Joseph Gordon-Levitts face...now that sounds mean, and we all know he is very handsome. It's because he they have given him a Bruce Willis nose (as he is playing a young version of him, which is very strange!) and he is talking like him too. Even his mannerisms, it's brilliant! One of my favourite actors playing another of my favourite actors, and so well. Overall, totally worth a watch. Emily Blunt is pretty great in it too. Don't want to give to much away, but I would watch it again.
Paranormal Activity 4? Meh. They really need to give it up, or at least start being more creative and actually explain something about the coven. It's just getting even more predictable. Don't get me wrong, I was still a bit jumpy and reluctant to actually go and see it, but it could have been much scarier.
Those are just my opinions though, so it obviously depends on what you like! Captain Obvious.

Also a couple of weekends ago we had our flat-warming party. It was great, really fun to catch up with people and show them our flat! This is the first time Kyle and I have lived away from our parents so it's all very new and exciting.
We took some photos too of course...
