Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation | Review.

Recently I've been really enjoying Rimmel products, as you may have noticed! This time I'm reviewing their Match Perfection liquid foundation.
I'm always on the look out for a drugstore foundation that matches my pale skin tone, until now I hadn't found one. I'd say this is the closest match I've found, and for only £6.99! I bought shade 10 - Light Porcelain.

"Introducing a whole new Match Perfection, a makeup match like you’ve never seen before. Traceless coverage with Advanced Smart-Tone Technology reveals a perfectly flawless you, no matter what the light.
From the bathroom, to work, to the pub, your natural colour never changes.
Completely conceals imperfections with no foundation line, no makeup mask. Enhanced with Sapphire Radiance for an illuminating glow that never falls flat.
Natural, flawless coverage with a fresh finish.  Lasts all day
."

I would say this is a medium coverage foundation, and it's somewhere between matte and dewy. Which is a change for me, but I like it. It does cling to my dry areas, but most foundations do. Although it's not cakey or anything which is great, it looks very natural. I do like a medium coverage base as I don't like heavy make up and my skin isn't too bad.
Please excuse my sleepy faces that will follow...

Shade 10

No make up...can you tell? Haha.

Foundation only.

The whole shabang.

The Good.

Only £6.99.
Easy to apply.
Matches my skin tone.
Nice packaging.
Medium coverage.
Smells nice - which then fades.
Not cakey.
Lasts around 6 hours.
Looks and feels natural, mostly.

The Bad.

Settles on my dry patches.

The good heavily outweighs the bad here which doesn't surprise me. I couldn't recommend this product more, especially if you're pale and are looking for a cheap but good quality foundation!

Do you like Rimmel, is it available where you are?

  1. Looks great! (:

I love finding decent drugstore foundation!! If you haven't already, you should check out Revlon ColorStay Normal / Dry Skin Foundation, I works wonderfully on my dry skin! And what lens is that! It looks prime but I might be wrong! It's so sharp and perfect.

    1. I don't think I've seen that before, it would be nice to try something specifically for dry skin! Thanks for the recommendation.
I use a Sony NEX-5n with the standard 18-55mm lens, hope that helps. It's a great camera. Records in HD as well! It's not an SLR but it's still brilliant.
      Thanks for the comment :)
