The past couple of weeks have been non-stop and pretty hectic. As usual I've mainly been working, everyone was out in force doing Christmas shopping and then sale shopping from Boxing Day onwards. The 27th was our busiest day, which was a little weird.
I had a wonderful Christmas which was spent with my family and my boyfriend. It was a great day, I saw lots of people and received so many wonderful gifts. I think everyone enjoyed the presents I got them too!
Boxing day I worked then went out for burgers and drinks with friends from school, was so nice to catch up with them. The burger I had was called the Texan Hat Burger, it had BBQ sauce, cheese, bacon and a hash brown. It was amaaaazing!
On Sunday (30th) I eventually had a day off and I could browse the sales, or what was left of them! I managed to get a few bits and pieces, although most of them weren't in the sales.
I'll do a haul on my recent purchases once my other packages arrive. I have one coming from ASOS and another from Daisy Street. There are some fantastic deals on this website, I really had to restrain myself from spending over £100! They have some amazing shoes, also if you like them on FB you get 10% off, unless you're buying sale items. I was cheeky and still tried to add it...
On to some of the things I've been looking at for the past couple of weeks. Still posting on my Tumblr pages of course. Links here and here.
Kyle just showed me this blog, it gave us plenty of laughs. It's basically hilarious reviews of products on websites such as Amazon. The best one so far is the Harry Potter Sorting hat one (on the second page, around halfway down).
Something else I've been interested in recently is musicians and singers, trying to figure out who actually writes their music. I love genuine singer/songwriters and I really admire the fact that they write their own material as well as writing for others. However I also like many, many singers who don't write their own music, which I completely understand, however I really don't agree with many of them claiming they do and taking credit for it. Namely Beyonce. Don't get me wrong, I love her. So much so I've seen her live and thought she was flawless. Still I really don't think it's fair to take so much credit for someone else's hard work and talent. I wouldn't like her any less just because she doesn't write her own material. I'd just prefer her to be honest about it rather then using her money and power to skew the truth and take credit where it's not due.
Here is a post on a blog about the subject. I suppose you can't take everything people say as the truth, but there seems to be quite a bit of evidence to back up these claims.
On the subject of music I've been listening to some new stuff this week (new to me anyway!), here is a list of music I listen to and a link to my Last.fm page, as usual!

New Year was also fantastic, spent it with my boyfriend and a couple of friends. Slept until 6pm the next day!
That's probably enough writing for now!
I hope you all had a fantastic new year and spent it with the ones you love.
